IgnatGames Companion: Privacy Policy
Version 2.0 · Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data IGNARIS PRIME SRL (“IgnatGames”, “we”, “us”) processes through the IgnatGames Companion mobile app (the “App”) and through warranty registration on our website, why we process it, who helps us, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It replaces all earlier versions, including the one published at shop.ignatgames.com/pages/privacy-policy-app.
1. Who we are
IGNARIS PRIME SRL, Str. Ștefan Mihăileanu nr. 45, Camera 1, Et. 2, Ap. 5, Constanța 900191, Romania. Trade Register no. J2017000489139, VAT no. RO37156492. We are the controller of your personal data.
For anything about your data, write to hello@ignatgames.com. Our administrator, Cristian Ignat, handles these requests.
We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer (Article 37 GDPR), because we do not process personal data on a large scale or monitor people systematically.
2. The short version
- You can use the App without an account. Your data then stays on your phone, and we receive nothing unless you send us feedback.
- If you create a player account, we store your email address, your profile and your activity on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, so your progress is saved and you can claim rewards.
- When you create an account, the box “Email me IgnatGames tips, new releases, and player rewards.” is ticked by default. Untick it if you do not want our emails. You can also turn them off later or unsubscribe from any email.
- We do not sell your data. The App shows no ads and contains no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- We keep encrypted backup copies of our database for a few days, so we can restore the service after a failure.
- You can delete your account, and the data linked to it, from the App at any time.
3. Using the App without an account
Without an account, the App saves the following only on your device, in its local storage. It is not sent to us:
- the name or nickname you enter and your game preference (darts, billiards or both);
- your matches, including the names you type for each player;
- drills, training programmes, points, streaks and gear reminders;
- your Amazon store selection (United States, Canada or Australia).
You can erase it at any time with Profile → Reset all data, or by uninstalling the App.
4. Player account (optional)
You need an account only to save your progress on our servers and to claim rewards.
Signing in. You sign in with your email address and a one-time code that we email to you. There are no passwords. While you are signed in, the App keeps your sign-in session on your device.
What we store when you have an account:
- your email address and technical sign-in records (for example, when you last signed in);
- your profile: display name (optional), game preference, points, streak, last active date, and how many matches and drills you have completed;
- your matches: game type, the players and the names entered for them, the winner, the scores and the times;
- your drills, training programme progress and the points you earned;
- your rewards: which reward you claimed, the discount code assigned to you, the Amazon store it is for, and when you claimed it;
- your email preference (whether you want our marketing emails);
- usage events, described below.
Other players’ names. If you add friends as players, the names you type are stored with your matches. Please use first names or nicknames, and only add people who are happy for you to do so.
Usage events. While you are signed in, the App records a small number of events: which screen you opened, that you verified your account, and when you tried to claim a reward, copied a reward code or opened the shop from a reward. Each event is linked to your account. We use them to see which features are useful and to improve the App. They do not contain the content of your matches or messages. Without an account, no usage events are recorded.
Rewards. Reward codes are discount codes for IgnatGames products on Amazon. When you open the shop from a reward, you leave the App, and Amazon’s own terms and privacy notice apply. We receive nothing about your Amazon account or your purchases through the App.
5. Feedback
You can send us feedback from the App, with or without an account. We receive the category and your message; your name and email address, only if you enter them; your player category (darts, billiards or both); how many matches and drills you have completed; and your phone’s operating system (iOS or Android).
Your message passes through a small server endpoint we run, hosted by Vercel, and reaches our mailbox by email, sent through Resend. We use it only to read your feedback, to reply if you gave us your email address, and to improve the App.
6. Marketing emails
When you create an account, the box “Email me IgnatGames tips, new releases, and player rewards.” is ticked by default. If you leave it ticked, we add your email address and display name to our newsletter list, which we run with our email provider Newsman, and we send you tips, news about our products and player rewards.
You can stop these emails at any time, free of charge:
- untick the box before you continue;
- turn off “IgnatGames emails” in Profile → Email preferences;
- click “unsubscribe” in any of our emails; or
- write to hello@ignatgames.com.
Turning emails off removes you from the newsletter list and does not affect your account. Deleting your account also removes you from the list.
We send these emails on the basis of our legitimate interest in telling our players about our own products and rewards (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can refuse them when we collect your email address and in every email we send.
Whatever you choose, we still send the emails the service needs, such as your sign-in codes and notices about important changes to this policy.
7. Warranty registration on our website
If you register the warranty for an IgnatGames product on our website, we receive your email address and order number, and, if you give them, the platform where you bought the product (for example Amazon or eMAG), the product and the purchase date. We store this in the same database as the App, together with the warranty end date, so that we can honour your warranty (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
When you sign up on our warranty pages, we also add your first name and email address to our newsletter list, together with the IP address you used, the product, where you heard about us and, once you register an order, your latest order number. You can unsubscribe from any email or write to us; your warranty stays valid either way. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in telling our customers about our own products (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
8. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Account, profile, matches, drills, points, rewards | Providing the account features you ask for: saving your progress and giving you rewards | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Usage events | Understanding which features are used and improving the App | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Feedback | Reading and answering your feedback, improving the App | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Email address and name on the newsletter list | Emails about our own products and player rewards | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f), with the right to refuse at any time |
| Warranty registration | Honouring your warranty | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Encrypted backup copies of the database | Restoring the service and your data after a failure or data loss | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f). Backups also meet the requirement in Art. 32(1)(c) GDPR to restore access to data after an incident |
| Technical logs | Keeping the service secure and fixing errors | Legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) |
9. Who processes your data for us
We do not sell your data. We work with the following providers (processors), each bound by a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR:
- Supabase (Supabase Pte. Ltd.): hosts our database and sign-in system and runs our server functions, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). It holds all account data and warranty registrations.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., United States): sends your sign-in codes and delivers your feedback to our mailbox. It receives your email address and the feedback you send.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States): hosts the endpoint that receives your feedback, the warranty and newsletter forms on our website, and our internal dashboard, which shows us only aggregated statistics. Vercel only passes the data on to us; apart from short-lived technical logs, it does not store it.
- Newsman (DAZOOT SOFTWARE SRL, Romania): runs our newsletter list. It receives the details described in sections 6 and 7, on servers in the EU.
- Google (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Ireland): our email (Google Workspace), where your feedback arrives, and Google Drive, which keeps the encrypted backup copy of our database for at most 4 days. Data is stored in EU data centres. Google receives the backup only as an encrypted file and does not have the key to read it.
- Hetzner (Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany): hosts our server in Nuremberg, which makes the encrypted backup every night. Data passes through the server’s memory only while the copy is made, usually a few seconds, and is encrypted there. Only the encrypted file reaches its disk, and it is deleted once it reaches Google Drive.
Transfers outside the EU. Resend and Vercel are in the United States. These transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses included in their data processing agreements (Article 46 GDPR); Resend is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Supabase stores our data in Frankfurt; its agreement also includes the Standard Contractual Clauses for any access from outside the EU.
Other companies. Apple and Google distribute the App through their app stores, and Amazon sells our products. Each of them acts under its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with them through the App.
10. How long we keep your data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Data on your device | Until you reset it in the App or uninstall the App |
| Account data | Until you delete your account. Deletion removes it from our live database straight away |
| Newsletter list | Until you unsubscribe or delete your account |
| Feedback emails | As long as we need them to handle your message and improve the App. You can ask us to delete them at any time |
| Warranty registrations | Until the warranty ends, 10 years after the purchase date, then deleted |
| Our encrypted backup copies | 4 days, then deleted automatically. If the backup system fails, we keep the last valid copy until it is fixed, so that we are never left without one |
| Backups kept by Supabase | 7 days, rotated automatically |
| Technical logs | Kept briefly by our providers for security and troubleshooting, then deleted automatically |
11. Deleting your account
In the App, go to Profile → Delete account. This deletes your account and everything linked to it from our live database: your profile, matches, drills, points, reward claims and usage events. It also removes you from our newsletter list and signs you out, clearing the App’s data on your phone.
A reward code you already received stays marked as used, but is no longer linked to you. Copies of the deleted data disappear from our encrypted backups within 4 days and from Supabase’s backups within 7 days. Feedback you sent is not linked to your account; write to us if you want it deleted too.
12. How we protect your data
- All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
- Our database is encrypted at rest.
- Row Level Security: each account can read only its own data, even if someone knows another user’s ID.
- Sign-in uses one-time codes, not passwords.
- Our daily backup copy is encrypted on our server with an OpenPGP key before it is stored. The decryption key is kept separately, and only our administrator can use it.
- Our internal dashboard shows us only aggregated statistics, never your email address or name.
13. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16); you can change your display name in the App;
- have your data deleted (Art. 17); you can delete your account in the App;
- restrict how we use your data (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21), including, at any time and without giving reasons, to our marketing emails.
Write to hello@ignatgames.com. We answer within one month.
If you think we have not respected your rights, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Sector 1, Bucharest; www.dataprotection.ro; anspdcp@dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in the country where you live. Please write to us first; we will try to sort it out quickly.
Wherever you live, we apply the same protections to your data.
14. Children
The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn that a child under 16 has created an account, we will delete it. If you are a parent and believe this has happened, write to hello@ignatgames.com.
15. What the App does not do
- It does not access your location, contacts, camera, photos or microphone.
- It does not show ads or use an advertising ID.
- It contains no third-party analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools.
- It does not send push notifications.
16. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the App, our providers or the law change. For significant changes, we will tell you by email, if you have an account, and on this page, at least 14 days before they take effect. The current version is always on this page and in the App, under Profile → Privacy Policy.
